These terms cover how we work together. They apply to all projects and services provided by Big Mood Studio Ltd. By commissioning work from us you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Big Mood Studio Ltd is a creative studio registered in England and Wales. We provide brand identity, web design and creative support services.

The work we do
Every project begins with an agreed scope of work, set out in a project proposal or brief. Any work outside that agreed scope will be quoted and agreed in writing before it begins. We include two rounds of revisions in every project. A revision means changes to work already presented. A new direction or a significant change to the original brief is a new brief and will be quoted separately.
Payment
We offer three payment options for project work: pay in full before work begins, pay in two (50% upfront and 50% on completion) or pay in four equal monthly instalments. For the Pay in Four plan, files are delivered at the end of the project as normal but copyright does not transfer until the final payment is received. Until that point the work remains the intellectual property of Big Mood Studio Ltd and may not be used commercially.
Invoices are due within 14 days of issue. Late payments will incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate per annum in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. We reserve the right to pause work on any project where payment is overdue.
Big Mood Studio Ltd is not currently VAT registered. All prices are quoted and invoiced without VAT.
International clients
We work with clients across the UK and internationally. Fees can be agreed and invoiced in GBP, USD or EUR. The rate is locked at the start of the project. This agreement is governed by English law regardless of where the client is based.
Ownership and copyright
Full copyright and ownership of all final deliverables transfers to the client on receipt of final payment in full. Until then all work remains the intellectual property of Big Mood Studio Ltd.
Source files such as Adobe, Figma or After Effects files are not included as standard. They are available for an additional fee agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to display completed work in our portfolio and on our social channels unless you request otherwise in writing before the project is complete.
Your content
You are responsible for ensuring that any content, images or materials you supply to us do not infringe the rights of any third party. By supplying us with content you confirm that you have the right to use it and you agree to cover any claims that arise from it.
Third party costs
Some projects may require third-party purchases such as stock imagery, fonts, music licences or software subscriptions. These will always be agreed with you in advance. You are also responsible for any ongoing costs after handover such as domain registration, website hosting and platform subscriptions.
Third-party services
Our website and business operations use a number of third-party tools including Squarespace and Google Analytics for our website, HubSpot for CRM and lead management, Calendly for booking calls and our invoicing software for payments. Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and data handling practices. We only use providers we trust to handle data responsibly.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel a project after work has begun we will invoice for all work completed to that point plus a kill fee of 25% of the remaining balance. Your deposit or first payment is non-refundable. If a project is paused for more than 30 days we reserve the right to re-quote the remaining work.
Our liability
Our total liability to you will not exceed the total fees paid for the project in question. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss including loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity.
Confidentiality
We will keep any sensitive business information you share with us confidential and will not pass it to any third party without your consent. We ask the same in return.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website at the time your project begins is the one that applies to your project.
